Find a mental healthcare provider who meets your needs.

FAQs

How do I get started?

Getting started is simple. Reach out through our contact form or through HEADWAY to schedule an appointment—we do a free 10-minute introductory call to make sure we are a good fit for your needs and to walk you through the next steps. We are happy to answer any questions along the way.

We are so glad you are here!

Do you accept insurance?

Alchemy Health Collective utilizes HEADWAY for all billing and credentialing of private insurances for mental health services. For those who are uninsured, we operate on a self-pay model.

If you don’t see your insurance listed, please fill out the contact form.

Do you prescribe medicine?

Yes. As a dual board-certified Family and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Allyson can evaluate, diagnose, and prescribe medication, when appropriate, as part of a broader treatment plan.

How is this different from seeing my primary care provider or psychiatrist?

Most providers treat mental health, hormones, and metabolic health separately. We treat them as connected, with more time per visit and a single provider tracking the whole picture.

What to expect at your first visit?

Your first appointment is longer than a typical office visit, because we need the space to actually understand your story — not just your chief complaint. Expect a thorough intake covering your health history, lifestyle, medications, and goals, along with a discussion of next steps, whether that's lab work, a treatment plan, or both.

For your first appointment you will need a recent blood pressure (home machine or picture of reading from a local pharmacy), scale, and digital device that allows video and microphone access for telemedicine. We use doxy.me, a HIPAA-secure telemedicine platform.

We currently only offer virtual appointments for patients located in the state of Virginia.

What if the appointment is for my child or teen?

Patients age 4 and up are welcome. A parent or legal guardian must be present via telemedicine for minors, and we'll walk you through consent and what to expect before your child's first visit.

What is your cancellation policy?

We require 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations and no-shows are subject to a fee.
